Complice la visita dei Cucc's abbiamo esplorato altri angolini delle Midlands.
Finalmente abbiamo visitato Stratford Upon-Avon, la città natale di William Shakespeare. Una città molto carina, anche se un po' turistica, con un bel canale e un parco verde che ci ha fatto pensare a quanto sara` bello passeggiarci in primavera o estate.
Il giorno del mio compleanno invece siamo stati al Castello di Warwick, una fortificazione medioevale, con mura esterne massicce e sale elegantissime. Anche questo un po' trasformato in un parco giochi, ma molto apprezzaro soprattutto dalle bimbe.
Insomma, manca solo che ci armiamo di macchina, perche` qui attorno ci sono davvero aprecchie cose da scoprire!
While our friends were here, we visited places around Birmingham in the Midlands.
We went to Stratford Upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare. It is a nice city full of shops and tourists. Along the Avon river there is a beautiful park where we envisioned spending time during sprig and summer.
On my birthday, we went to the Warwick Castle. A fine Mediaeval Castle with high outside walls and magnificent rooms. The whole castle has been transformed a little bit into a playground, but this made the visit very nice for our little guests.
As soon as we have a car, we are going to be able to visit more surrounding, since it seems there is a lot to see!!
